Floyd Friday
GLENDALE, CA (YIFTM) – Ken Youra would be proud. Welcome to Yeah, I Figured’s first acknowledgment of Floyd Friday. Every Friday in all of the art classes back at Pardeeville High School under the influential tutelage of our art teacher Ken Youra, we’d celebrate Floyd Friday. Floyd Friday’s consist of any and everything involving Pink Floyd. Be it by listening to a Floyd album (CD, cassette, even record), or by watching a Floyd video. I distinctly remember watching what I later found out to be Live at Pompeii, which thanks to Mr. Youra I know own on DVD, and for whatever reason I’ll never forget the opening scene to The Wall where the hotel maid busily vacuums the floor down a long vacant hallway. I remember Mr. Youra had a locked cabinet where he kept all his Floyd memorabilia/paraphernalia, and during class we’d watch the blinking light that accompanies the Pulse box set.
So today, we honor both Mr. Youra and his favorite band Pink Floyd. I’m not sure about my Midwest counterpart, but for me those were good days.
Although I haven’t listened to any Pink Floyd yet today I’m going to pick Piper At the Gates of Dawn as my pick of the day. When I get home I’ll be sure to pour myself a nice tall glass of Jack Daniels, throw on Piper, drop the needle and celebrate Floyd Friday in a way that would surely make Mr. Youra and Mr. Barrett proud.
HAPPY FLOYD FRIDAY EVERYONE!

I concur.
Leave that Nat caption alone...it's final acknowledgement that Jerry came before George.
In other words, you win.
What does that mean Jerry came before George? She WAS mine first, that ad makes no mention to the fact that she was MINE before I GAVE her to you.
But to your defense, those were the days you were still tailing Maria Carey, and Karri Price...
