A Skynyrd Loving Bears Fan

CHATSWORTH, CA (YIFTM) – In a new series titled, “Friends of Yeah, I Figured,” we’re paying tribute to all the important, yet slightly insane individuals that help the creators of Yeah, I Figured to function and laugh in hysterical episodes of emotional expression (whatever the hell that means).

This particular segment is dedicated to the uncompromised persona that can only be described as, RRRRRRRandy (the number of R’s depends on the writer's drink consumption). Now, it must be said that this individual is a bit of a strange fellow (this can be told at quick glance from the individual’s choice of bad weather apparel), which means that, being of the strange sort, he fits right in with the team here at Yeah, I Figured.

I can remember a time when there was Orange Sunshine, no wait, a time when I’d drive into Madison from Milwaukee, in the dead of winter mind you, and “The Captain” as he is never known, and I would walk to a nearby pub and consume copious amounts of beer while playing pool and quite consistently repeating, “Just one guy doing another guy, a solid.” Ah, the good old days, before I moved to a part of the nation where the coldest it gets is around 50 degrees, and that’s during the winter, and at night! But I’ve had the pleasure of knowing this Skynyrd loving Bears fan for almost 8 years, and let me tell you, they’ve been dull, each and every year. That, of course is a flat out lie, as if it weren’t for this Chicago sports loving father of 2, I’d have no one to consistently make fun of and curse, “Randy you’re drunk.” And he’d quickly snap back, “Yeah, well at least I’m not stupid.”

A perfect fit to the “Yeah, I Figured Family.” Now if we can only turn him into a Brewers fan like he should be, we just might remain friends.
