P.S. - Funny.
I take my laughs like I take my (dream) women, sloppy and stooopid, so I have never been a big fan of British Comedy. Also, I am not smart enough to understand most of the jokes. But thanks to Gangsta and Gervais there may be hope for me yet.
Gangsta introduced me to The Office several years back. Like a lot of elitists, I enjoyed it. This series has one of the best laughs of all-time (yes, of all-time) involving an unspeakable act that may have occurred in an upstairs room of an imaginary hotel. Regardless, it also includes one of the biggest 180s in any comedy series, something that I cannot get over. I am now leading the charge to update the phrase "Jumping the Shark" to "Being Made Redundant".
So when Gansta invited me over to watch Extras a few months back, I was a little apprehensive. Shows about shows/ movies about movies - usually not so good. However, I was pleasantly surprised. The description "Cringe-Comedy" cannot be more accurate - Gervais avoids the sophomore slump, British Comedy is in good hands, and I laughed a lot.
While Gervais and the cast are consistently hilarious, Patrick Stewart stole the scene, the episode, the series and maybe even Rickey Henderson's stolen base record. I don't know, but this is an amazing four minutes. How one could keep a straight face while saying this... genius! I hope his screenplay gets made.

On a scale of 1-10, I have a 4 migraine so I'm posting a lot today. I blame Bronson A. for my headache.
Sitting behind my desk with a grin on my face, I now realize that sending that album was one of the better things I've done lately.
Enjoy the pain!
Yeah!! British comedy represents!!!
Down with the Yanks.
