Nervous Solo

Happy Memorial Day!

As our country collectively honors its fallen soldiers in the best way we know how - beer, barbeques, and ballgames - a fallen YITS colulmnist makes a most welcomed return. That's right long lost brother, Gangsta Warner, is here to announce his triumphant re-entry into the Yeah, I Figured atmosphere.

It wasn't a smooth re-entry, no not by a long shot. At times I felt as if my shuttle was going to succumb to the intense heat that engulfed me like the Mij engulfs a bowl of mac and cheese with fire sauce...the way Hennessy engulfs New Release Tuesdays at Best Buy...or the way Jerry engulfs bottles of JD...that's right, I thought death was certain. But like me fellow indulgers, I beat the odds and have safely landed on the shores of get back in the game island.

Seems I had to take an extended vacation to beat a nasty addiction of co-dependency. After admitting said problem, I set about locking myself in a room, closing the drapes, and watching season after season of Six Feet Under. Can't say that I'll every fully defeat this evil demon, but for the most part I think I can handle him. I certainly have found ways around him. (It's funny, I don't think you can every really change, you just learn how to navigate around the edges.)

Anyway, one of the most reliable defenses against the(your) forces of evil, besides spending two hours on NataliePortman.com, is to live happily amongst those who make you happiest. As much as it pains me to admit it, the clowns to the left of this post certainly fit that profile, as ugly a profile as it may be.

Shout outs to J. Jerry, Beatbox, and Hennessy for always having a brother's back and always welcoming a brother back. I've taken this kind of vacation before. And like any vacation, it's always nice to come home.

Where's Civic Sounds?

Is that you in front of a TV? And when I say TV - I mean a run of the mill 27 incher. You are tiny.

That's a bad-ass Thabo Sefolosha jersey.

"...nessy for always having a brother's back and always welcoming a brother back."

Arguably the best line ever posted on this site.

Hey, now that you're back - can you change my photo on the left to "The Briefcase." That's the title. Anyway, L. Lippy won't do it.

I'm sick at looking at "Two Blue M&Ms." That's the title.

Oh, my bad - the jersey actually reads, "Charles."

If you're not bringing Civic Sounds back, may I request the space for "CD Projects Currently in the Toshiba"?

L. Lippy hasn't posted for like a week. Is he going to have a month-long absence now? You guys are silly-gooses.

BTW, your case full of analog recordings IS on the left side.

I didn't realize you wanted it as your profile.
