Worth $71,700,000? You be the Judge

NEW YORK, NY (YIFTM) - This Andy “Don’t Call Me Dandy” Warhol painting, Green Car Crash (Green Burning Car I) sold yesterday at a postwar and contemporary art auction for $71.7 Mil. (I seem to remember a quote about Snapples involving Carrot Top).

(Cut & Pasted from an article on The Huffington Post) "Green Car Crash," painted in 1963, is part of a series of Warhol works that drew on photographs of fatal accidents. Silkscreened over a green background, the painting uses a news photograph of a grisly crash in Seattle. It had been in a private collection for decades, the auction house said.

Sold to an anonymous bidder, bootleg copies of this print are bound to start popping up in social corners near you. Keep your eyes open.

I kind of like some of Warhol's stuff, but that's a lot of Snapple indeed! I'd probably take the Snapple if it came down to it.
