Roche-a-Cri: French for Randy and Critta

LONDONDERRY - The first camping trip of the year was a success. After Randy and I were snowed out of our winter-camping weekend by the Blizzard of '07, four months later we were finally able to get the tents out near the appropriately named Adams-Friendship. Yes, Adams was the theme of the weekend.
Roche-a-Cri State Park has one of the best views in Wisconsin. The 303-step climb is well worth the reward at the top - amazing even on a rainy, hazy day. Then some loud high school kids came up and we left.
The real treat was viewing the petroglyphs with the Caveman himself.
We even topped ourselves with one of the best camp meals I have ever had - whiskey shrimp. Credit for the idea goes to Randy. Credit for the bottle of whiskey goes to me. A big cigar capped off Saturday evening around the fire.
Whiskey Shrimp: Dump all the shrimp you bought in the skillet. Then dump the rest of your bottle of Kessler in the skillet. Flambe the hell out of it and cook down the whiskey. Add a stick or two of butter and serve over vegetables. Baby, you got a (whiskey shrimp) stew goin'!

Damn these are some good pictures. Sounds like the Caveman and the human beatbox had a good time.

Now that you mention it - you never told me the story about being in the Neptunes recording studio when you got that photo of Chad Hugo. You think that would have been a big deal for you. GISed 'em. Full disclosure - I did not take the photo of Lewis Hamilton either.
