WHAT'S YOUR HEAD WORTH?
GLENDALE, CA – British Artist Damian Hirst has apparently produced a human skull complete with over 8,600 diamonds and is selling it for $98 million dollars. As morbidly objective as this piece is, one can’t help but succumb to the “allure of the skull.”
This piece gives death an extravagant attraction this writer has not yet seen. At quick glance it resembles any run-of-the-mill human skull. But after a second look this multi-million dollar piece of art begins to reveal its immense detail; smooth intricate circular diamonds, shining and glistening off reflected light that scream for attention.
I think what makes this piece so interesting is that it takes an image we’ve known nearly our entire existence to represent the symbol of morbid death, decay, vacancy and uninhabitable life, and re-sculpts that understanding into an amalgam of unprecedented beauty that offers a hint of darkness only eventual mortality can bring.
This skull was taken from a 35 year old 18th Century English chap and was turned into an almost priceless work of art. This writer begs the question: What’s your head worth?

It's value increases as it gets progressively away from Mondays.
Skull CAPS!
What's missing from this skull is a Mad Face beanie.
That would put it over the $100 million mark.
So this is what you do with all that Blur and Gorillaz money.
Supose it beats porn.
Gavin said the weight of my head in veal is $50. I'm not selling.
