Eight In

The Wire comes to an end tonight after 60 episodes of what critics have hailed as one of the most uncompromising and intelligent television shows of the last decade.

David Simon's all access pass to Baltimore's inner city decay has lived under a fat Jersey shadow during most of its run. Because of this, the show never quite equated it's critical success with commercial. No matter. Fools coppin' ignorance have only themselves to blame if they miss out on this juggernaut. Transcending a standard police procedural for a societal indictment that points its finger at everyone, "uncompromising" and "intelligent" do this show zero justice.

Lance Reddick is an actor I wouldn't mind following.

Lots of dimensions to his character. Tough one to play, but he's definately game.

Our long lost friend, Fredro Starr makes an appearance in which he urges a lesbian detective to undo his handcuffs so he can, "fuck you in all three holes."

Nice to see the Onyx brand lives on!
