"It's like 'Band of Brothers' in space, with Jedi."
Never knowing when to say when, Star Wars creator George Lucas offered a peek at ShoWest last Thursday of the next installment in a stalled franchise.
Star Wars: The Clone Wars will debut in theatres on August 15th, then continue on TNT later in the fall. Is anyone really dying to know what happened between Episodes II and III? In fucking animated form no less?!
C'mon George. Enough's enough. Enough was enough after Jedi. The prequels were nothing more than digital clutter with dialogue equivalent to building blocks stacked by a two year old. That galaxy far, far away, isn't far enough. The original sense of wonder and new hope is lost in a black hole. And although decent box office probably awaits, the law of diminishing returns indicates not much is left to milk.
The AP has the story.
