JDot's Daily Music Picks for 11/9/7
Ok, I’ve probably focused upon both of these albums already this year, but that’s the universally timeless joy of music. If you dig it, you quite possible will always dig it. Clearwater Revival – Creedence Country
I’m not a fan of greatest hits albums but there are a handful of exceptions; Donovan’s Greatest Hits, ZZ Top’s Greatest Hits, and a more southern rock take on Creedence Greatest Hits with Creedence Country. If this were what country music was defined by, I’d honestly probably never listen to anything else. I personally wouldn’t consider this country, as much as I’d label it alt-country, or maybe even Rockabilly. Or possibly just a delicious flavored candy of milk chocolate rock ‘n roll covered by a hard candy shell of country. C&C’s. Anyway, this album is amazing from start to finish and offers some traditional rock songs like Hello Mary Lou, Ooby Dooby, and some staples of the Creedence catalog like Lodi, Lookin’ Out My Back Door, (and my all time favorite Creedence song) Ramble Tamble. If you’re looking for a studio album go with either Green River or Bayou Country, but if you looking for an album with great rock ‘n roll numbers with a hint of country, “seek out” Creedence Country.Rushmore Original Motion Picture Soundtrack
This album is a key player in my ever-growing musical scrapbook of life. Every time I listen to this album I think about my early days in Milwaukee riding BMX’s and skipping school. If you don’t own this album, you should. And to go a step further, you should also own every single Wes Anderson movie soundtrack, as well as the movies themselves. Trust me, this album will not disappoint.

I don't think we should do daily picks...especially shitty ones like this.
this site might become too saturated with music.
just a thought that you will likely ignore.
like kobe and the lakers, i'm airing my grievances in the press.
You don't have to do them, but I enjoy doing them.
