Sing-a-Long Songs for Skeptics

At the heart of "Juno" lies 35-year-old singer/songwriter Kimya Dawson. Her thinking-out-loud lyrics and sparse acoustics have helped the film's soundtrack jump to #3 on Billboard.

As suspect of success as her songs are about growing old, Ms. Dawson is standing in the spotlight, whether she likes it or not.

Ben Sisario of The New York Times has a great article on Ms. Dawson and the role 'indie-music' has played in the recent resurgence of motion picture soundtracks.

Her music sounds like it was recorded in her parent's basement back in high school.

I love it!

I think so too.

Although the acoustics sound muffled by walls of Star Wars paraphernalia.

That and Antonio rip outs from the school's magazine library.
