Earth Day Editorial
Celebrating the world going to shit
A hollow sense of hope will blanket today's Earth Day festivities, as environmental activists solicit world leaders and average citizens to marshal a more focused reliance on natural, renewable resources. The challenge is most daunting; coinciding with world war, obstinate oppression, unaffordable food and fuel, and peevish campaign bickering between two who talk big change. Such immediate concerns blind most to the all powerful repercussions of global warming. Fuck if we haven't dug a hole so deep our demise is imminently closer with each sunset. Sometimes you gotta wonder if this one's our last.

Mother Earth. Going...going...gone.
Now that I've inspired untold millions to plant trees and sing We Are the World with meaning, check out C/Net for some more Earth Day fun. Included is an informative guide to green labels and some truly epic shots of Earth courtesy NASA. Enjoy it while you can.
