We're Pretty Much Fucked!

Are high gas prices cutting into your food budget? That’s today’s CNN.com question of the day. With the tally at 76% (70,834) answering yes and a cool 24% (22,832) answering no, it’s clear that most Americans are being forced to alter their existing food habits to compensate for the extra bulge in gas prices.

This article is not unlike the previous YIFTM article in that it brings to light the over abundance of food consumption that most American’s are so used to practicing. CNN.com offers a few tips on how to save on grocery bills, and when it might be ok NOT to go with brand name products. If you're poor like me, the decision not to go with brand name products is ALWAYS ok.

Redundant, but important.

Today:

"If you're poor like me, the decision not to go with brand name products is ALWAYS ok."

Last night:

"I just spent $1800 on a MacBook Pro, because I'm rich and only buy the best in brand name products. Always." - JDot

Three links to the same exact page. You're an idiot.

JDot's comment to the first Dub reply: Yup. But I ended up paying only $350 for that top-of-the-line machine, so bite it.

JDot's comment to the second Dub reply: Yup. There's nothing wrong with posting the same link more than once, or even more than twice.

GDub's comment to everything Dot has ever said: No, that's wrong.

Nice old pic of Frybyrd.

Listen, I'm a recovering alcoholic, I've got this irregular heart thing, and you're not being sensitive.

Still on for dinner Saturday night?

Asshole.

There's only one exception to JDot's "non brand name products" rule - Mountain Dew.

Any one who buys generic Mountain Dew is not only wrong, but just plain sick.

That's what I think!

Besides...why should we be forced to reduce our food budget because of the price of fucking gasoline. Not that I'm necessarily against reducing the food budget, but if one is going to it should be for other reasons. Not to mention that the food budget isn't the only thing that's increasing with the price of gasoline.

FUCK THE GAS BARONS!!! FUCK EM ALL!!!

And don't try to give me that tired old "We're willing to pay more for bottled water" argument either - because that's complete bullshit and utter nonsense.

That's what I think!

Um, who are you talking to?

Frybyrd said...

I'm just ranting about ridiculously high gas prices again.

We're getting raped.

If you were referring to the "Asshole" comment, that was directed at Gdubs comment about the picture of Frybyrd. Guess I should have specified that one from the get go.
