In the Presence of Greatness

WESTWOOD, CA (YIFTM) – Seeing El for the first time is not unlike losing your virginity, or the overwhelming wave of comfort that comes from realizing that your girl isn’t pregnant. The magical aura that surrounds this superhuman being is overwhelmingly contagious. From 10:45 this morning to what I’m ready to imagine will be the rest of my life, the positive bolts of lighting that come from seeing El in person will bounce back and forth inside my brain until I finally fall onto the floor in a laughing seizure of giddy excitement. Such things are possible in the presence of El.

I’m going to ride this high until my mind explodes or I’m deemed unfit to function in society, whichever comes first. My guess is the latter. Truly a once in a lifetime experience that ranks among such highlights as catching a foul ball at a Brewers game, spending a hot summer night with a best friend’s mother, and being credited on the Shrek the Third soundtrack. I thought my life was complete when I woke up this morning. I had no earthly idea.
